 JACK ZIMMERMAN, Ph.D., and JAQUELYN MCCANDLESS, M.D., based on the Big Island of Hawaii, are authors of Flesh and Spirit, the Mystery of Intimate Relationship and orginators of the Flesh and Spirit practices. Jaquelyn is a board-certified psychiatrist, anti-aging specialist, and irreverent explorer of sexual alchemy. Jack is an educational consultant, counselor, and intrepid survior of transformational relationship. He is also co-author of The Way of Council. Jack and Jaquelyn have been together for more than 37 years, loving and tormenting each other while exploring and teaching the inseparability of sex and spirit. Together they discovered the ancient wisdom that opening the heart allows spirit to inhabit the flesh.  AMBER MCINTYRE and JESSE JESSUP are based in Cape Town, South Africa.Jesse and Amber met in 1993 after two marriages each and a string of 'signs' brought them to The Ojai Foundation's hilltop in California! Their colourful backgrounds include many years of training in esoteric studies, wilderness guiding, complementary healing, communication and relationship practices, meditation, community building, and the creation and management of Retreats. Their business, InnerFire, was birthed on The Big Island of Hawaii in 2005 and refers to the light and truth that is within each of us. The retreats, wilderness quests, and communication workshops they facilitate together have the focus of encouraging a 'growing awareness' of that light. With one born in Califrornia and the other in South Africa, they now travel the world offering programs. They received years of training and apprenticed with Drs. Jack Zimmerman & Jaquelyn McCandless in the USA while living at The Ojai Foundation. Amber and Jesse have been offering Flesh and Spirit workshops in the USA and South Africa since 1999 and in 2008 they accepted an invitation to begin offering retreats in Europe.  MARY GRACE ORR and RUSSELL ATKINSON are based in Santa Cruz, California, have studied the Flesh and Spirit process since 1995, and have trained with Jack Zimmerman and Jaquelyn McCandless. Mary has taught mindfulness meditation for over 15 years and was a psychotherapist for 20 years. Russell has interests in computers, photography, and music.   The Wheelers and the Hellers are based in Thousand Oaks, California, and are committed to the practice of Nonviolent Communication and the Way of Council to deepen and sustain their relationships. They have studied under the tutelage of multiple teachers including the founders of the Flesh & Spirit process, Jack Zimmerman and Jaquelyn McCandless.Kelila and Rob Heller [left pic] are deeply honored to be in a connected, always passionate and at times painful relationship for over 33 years. Our relationship has served as a workshop, laboratory, healing vehicle, trampoline and lately a launching pad into undiscovered wonderful territories. We have learned how to continually mine the depths of pain and discord and transform them into joy, growth and deep, soulful connection. We share a number of educational credits, including degrees in Communications, Art, Horticulture and the Law. Our paths and experiences have repeatedly demonstrated that an intimate love relationship is a powerful tool for personal growth. We have also used the positive results from healing our sacred relationship as a platform to parent and now guide our two man-children. We have practiced (and practiced!) the Flesh & Spirit process since 1999. We are committed to the practice of Nonviolent Communication and the Way of Council to deepen and sustain relationships. Frankly, it is deeply exciting for us to share this incredible work with mature couples. Rick and Shoshana Wheeler [right pic] are blessed to be in a relationship that is a sanctuary for them both. They come to this partnership to both give and receive support, nurturing, loving, and healing. In the microcosm of their relationship everything is up for exploration, including seeking out the source of the triggers that lead to disconnection as a means to deepen the spiritual pathway to understanding and growth. Shoshana and Rick are partners in life and learning. They are explorers of the heart, mind and spirit. Shoshana is an award-winning educator, counselor, teacher of Compassionate Communication and The Way of Council. Rick is a fine craftsman, creating as much beauty as his artistry can imagine. They come together to consciously create their own form of beauty through their relationship.  Galit and Shat Hanien are based in Israel and were trained by Jack Zimmerman and Jaquelyn McCandless in Flesh and Spirit. They are a couple for the last 16 years, are married and have three kids. They both have a Masters degree from "Ecole Superiere de Gaston" in Paris. Galit in Human Resource Management and Shay has an MBA.
